Background

Ithis crawls along the folds of Rauk'shavar's inner spiral - not on stone, but through the seams of unrealized ideas. It is a centipede the length of a cathedral, each of its thousand legs twitching in rhythm with broken intentions. Its body is lined with mirrored plates that reflect not what you are, but what you almost became.

It does not kill quickly. It tests - curling around its prey in spirals of silence, peeling back what was unspoken and offering a choice: devour yourself, or become what you denied.

Description

Traits / Abilities

  • Unmade Reflection - Looking at Ithis causes glimpses of abandoned futures; prolonged exposure fractures identity.
  • Segmented Voice - Each body segment speaks in a different voice - past allies, dead family, forgotten selves - all begging in different directions.
  • Coil of Hesitation - Ithis moves slowly, but every time you prepare to act, it coils tighter - as if feeding on indecision.
  • Futureshed - When threatened, Ithis molts a version of itself that never was. These shed-forms behave unpredictably, half real, half regret.
